*Students age 9+ can send a short piece of writing if they are interested in the advance class. 

Debbie Wastling: the author of 3 British novels Debbie Wastling hails from Yorkshire, UK, though she calls the South Bay home. She writes British historical novels and teaches creative writing, whether poetry, flash fiction, short stories, or play scripts. A prolific writer and adapter of plays since high school, she has written  grants for arts education. She lives by John Steinbeck's quote:
